It that time of month again. Time for the Raleigh Triangle PowerShell user group to hold our monthly meeting on July 25th!. This month we're meeting one week later than usual to accomodate the schedule of our distiniguished speaker, PowerShell MVP and well known author, Jeff Hicks!
Jeff will be speaking this month in person and the topic will be geared more towards the advanced PowerShell user. This month's topic is PowerShell Scheduled Jobs.
PowerShell Scheduled Jobs are all about taking all the PowerShell tools you've created and setting them up to run automatically. This is the "set it and forget" approach. PowerShell scheduled jobs were released in PowerShell v3 but haven't received a whole bunch of attention over the years. PS scheduled jobs are very similar to Task Scheduler tasks but allow for the automatic creation and management via PowerShell, freeing us from having to login to a server and interact with a GUI.
Please join us at Metlife in Cary to discuss this topic in depth with Jeff!
Metlife has beefed up some of their security requirements and, as a result, every person will need to be PRE-registered with FIRST AND LAST name. If your profile does not contain you whole first and last name, please message Kevin Laux those details or you will NOT be admitted past the security desk. Details about the meeting, sign up info and contact info for Kevin Laux can be found below.
Sign-up and join us in person: http://meetu.ps/e/Fynqw/vB5rL/f
